Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. This role brought her an Emmy nomination for best supporting Actress category and she also received two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by the cast of a comedy.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she spent most of her childhood at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was awed by her mother, Anne, perform in performances at church while she was a child, which instilled a love of performing and theater.
She's an actress trained who returned to theater after The Office. The Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy was written and directed by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. She then starred in Steve Martin's latest show Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg and ran for record breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
Angela Kinsey from The Office (the character mate to Fischer) as well as her best friend in real life, Angela Kinsey from The Office, started a podcast back in October. The show was called Office Ladies. The show has grown in popularity and has landed in the Top Ten every single week. The debut year, the show received more than 200,000,000 downloads. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She is the writer of two books, The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide In it, she details her journey to St. Louis to Hollywood in order to be a professional actor. She is also the author of Office BFF's: Tales of The Office From Two of the Best Friends That Were There (co-authored with Angela Kinsey), which is an account of their most memorable relationship and their time in The Office.
