Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
The children were sleeping in the crib and I was strapped with a baby to my back. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to come together but there was still a long way to go. In this undertaking, I was prepared to invest a significant amount of time and money shopping for my dream home. My sons, my husband and I searched for hidden gems while at estate sales to reduce my expenses. It was our weekly routine of walking around garage sales and auctions on Saturday and Sunday and purchase a range of pieces old and newly constructed. It was my job to spend the day on the drive working on painting or sanding. My love for furniture repair started with an appearance that was similar to this. Even after our house was finished, I didn't want to put it down! On the streets, I rented a small area and then sold a few items. I eventually had so many pieces I didn't have a clue what to do with them and outgrew the space. My house was transformed into a space that I hosted open houses. Up to 1,000 people could view items from the first floor, and then purchase them. My venture Growing Days began here. My business was booming, but my family was also expanding. In a way, I had found the perfect equilibrium between motherhood and launching my company. Growing Days seemed like the ideal match. My sweet Nora was born in 2013, our 4th child. The direction my company was heading was excellent, however I needed to get some down time. I made the decision to take a break to spend time at home, spending time with my kids. It was exactly what I needed at that moment. However after a few months off the phone started to ring. I started receiving calls from people asking me to help with their home improvement and interior design. A majority of them came into my residence at my open house for furniture. I began taking on clients at a time taking my time but it wasn't too long before I had numerous accounts and had an entire home improvement business. If you had said to me that this company that I started would become the premise of a tv show that airs on the DIY Network I probably would have laughed. It's fun to reflect about the idea.
