Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams born August 20, 1974 in Aviano Italy American actor. She is renowned for her critically-acclaimed performance of charming and naive people. Adams was born and was raised in Castle Rock Colorado, as the youngest of seven children. Her father was in U.S. service in Italy. The mid-1990s saw her begin dancing and performing professionally at the Boulder Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. In Minnesota she performed at a regional theater where she played a role in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) was a mockumentary about pages of beauty. In Los Angeles, she pursued acting as a profession following her film debut in which she portrayed an uneasy but fun contestant. She was married to Tony Curtis was her partner from June 1950 to September 1992. Her children included, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's career in film began in the the late 1940s when she was signed by MGM. The actress was found by Norma Shearer. Leigh appeared in a variety of popular movies in the subsequent decade such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film that was released in 1954).
